2018 – What a year it was. As all of us at HATI International are excited to enter 2019 with lots of enthusiasm, exciting plans, and plenty of new initiatives, I wanted to pause a moment to reflect on the past 12 months. Thanks to the trust which our customers have showed in us, the encouragement of our partners, and the hard work of the super talented team at HATI International, it was quite a year!

A big thank you to all of you for believing in us and supporting us.

There are a lot of things which makes 2018 the most significant year for us.

Our New Head Quarter

Some of you have already visited our new home but those who have not, I hope you have seen the pictures and videos – our new 11500 Sq Ft, 100-seater office in Bangsar is an absolutely state-of-the-art facility. The new office reflects our vision and showcases our capabilities as a leading smart hospitals healthcare technology provider. I think the vision will become even more visible once we have our futuristic smart hospital experience center by early next year.

Exciting Work

We have been very fortunate that our vision of Smart Hospitals is getting great traction already in the market. Our new smart hospital projects kicked into high gear in 2018 and we expect to start showing impact very soon. I would like to believe that the success of these projects is important to the future of the healthcare delivery ecosystem of Malaysia as well!

Recognition

This was truly the year of awards and recognition. It started with the APAC CIO Outlook magazine (Healthcare Tech special edition). For the 2nd year in a row, HATI International was featured on the cover and we got a chance to talk about our vision. I was also fortunate and incredibly honored and humbled to receive recognition as an entrepreneur. My name featured among the #100MIYE -the 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs. I received the Emerging Youth Entrepreneur Excellence award at the 3^rdASEAN India Business Summit. The Malaysian Indian Entrepreneurs Cooperative honored me with the Perdana Young Indian Entrepreneur Award 2018. Of course, the awards that an entrepreneur gets belong as much to the company as to him.

Smart Hospital Showcase

The APHM 2018 show is a special memory for all of us at HATI International. We showcased the working models of our smart hospital solutions at the event. The team worked extremely hard to create an experience that the client, partners, and prospects were incredibly impressed by. It is so much easier to talk about a Smart Hospital vision when they have touched, felt, and experienced it in some way already – from voice-enabled EHR system for doctors, smart registration desk, remote health monitoring via trackers and sensors, and AR/VR-enabled chronic health management, we showcased everything at APHM 2018!

Team HATI International

We started the year with about 40 people, and we are close to 100 now. It is because of the hard work of each and every team member that we are making the strides that we are. One particularly fond memory for me is our Langkawi trip – we all had a great time there and got a chance to refresh and renew ourselves there. Apart from hiring, we are also actively focusing on refining the talent we have. We have started strategic initiatives in the areas of quality excellence, knowledge dominance, and customer-centricity for the team.

2018 was a great year and I am extremely thankful for that. I am sure 2019 will be even bigger and better for us. This will be an exciting time for all of us and will demand a lot. But I am convinced that the rewards will be well worth it.
